Three Year Olds
Our Three year-old program introduces children to interpersonal and group interactions. Through free choice play, children at this age begin to interact with their peers in a safe environment. Focus is put on emotional development and self-confidence. We foster and teach important life values of love, friendship, respect, and kindness.
Through art, music, and local field trips, students get to express themselves and experience the world around them.
Throughout the year we work to improve children's fine motor skills through use of scissors, crayons, and markers. We work both one-on-one and in small group settings to academically prepare students for the next step. Our program remains flexible and can easily adapt to the class needs and skills. Students work on recognizing and writing their names and letters.
CIRCLE TIME: Everyday we meet as a whole group to discuss the calendar, weather, sing songs, and do enriching felt board activities.
ART: Art is an important part of our program. Each day we work on an art project. We introduce colors, textures, and seasonal themes throughout the year.
FREE PLAY: An important part of a 3 year-olds development is making their own choices and having time to socially interact with their peers. We provide a safe setting in which students can play with our rice table, play kitchen, select books, use blocks and much more!
PLAY GROUND: Our focus on children's physical development is enriched through our playground with age appropriate equipment. Children strengthen their large motor skills through swings, climbing, and running.
FIELD TRIPS: Each month we go on a class field trip to local businesses, areas, and events. Some examples include the Fire Station, the Beach, and a Farm! It provides students a chance to interact with their environment and community.
